I ordered a scarf from QVC. On the website it said it was transferred to plantation post office. The carrier claims he tried to deliver and no one was home so he left a slip. I don’t see him on my video trying to deliver, nor was there a slip in my mailbox. This is the 3rd time a carrier has lied about attempting to deliver. Just bring me my dam package or is this a way for them to steal your stuff?
This Post Office claims they attempted delivery @ 6:25 pm on Sat. 11/14/20 and left a delivery notification in my mailbox, which is not true. Then I receive a notification stating that my package would be delivered yesterday Sun. 11/15/20, also not true. No delivery was attempted. I have been trying to speak to someone at the Post Office 954-587-4921 and after ringing 4 times, my call gets disconnected. I have attempted this several times to no avail. You would like since the USPS is funded with Federal Funds (Taxpayer Dollars) they would provide a Customer Service of excellence. NOT!!! Obviously this is not the case.
I would like to say I would really like Shon Young to be our mail carrier I am o route 1707. I knew our old carrier, Cindy for over 20 years. Shon seems like a great replacement for her route. He is a really nice young man and would do well for this route. He is personable and helpful.
I don’t know why there is no pride in this job. Plantation is the absolute hands-down worst post office ever. I have lived in plantation for 20 years and for at least the last eight years or so I can vouch that the post office almost never ever answers their phone. I have lodged several complaints with the main 800 number and they have followed up with empty promises every time. At least once a week the fill-in carrier ignores my scheduled pick-up request for which I always have a confirmation number. I always know regular postal carrier has the day off because the fill-in doesn’t show up. My regular postal carrier is fabulous. I adore her! I don’t know why they don’t answer their phone. I would gather to guess it’s because they don’t wanna explain they’re awful Service or have to do their job to look for a package or answer a question or so. Why not do your job and do it well? Take some pride and give people what they pay for.
Once again this local post office has proven to be the number one reason the post office is losing money. They can't deliver a simple package, or extremely important one from the US government. (This error, which they admitted to, cost us $1500.00 and we got ZERO from the USPS.) Any other business would be sued and quickly out of business with the poor service. The USPS truly stinks and they get paid way to much .

I requested a redelivery of my package for Saturday, it's Monday and I still haven't received my package, and no one answers the phone.

This post offices NEVER answers the telephone. Terrible service.
I had set up my address change on line to go into effect 11/9/19. I received an email of confirmation that this will be done effective 11/9/19. HOWEVER, it was done immediately! We won't be at the new address in Ohio until November and will be unable to receive mail there until then. I went into the Plantation, 33322, office to have my mail delivered to the Plantation address again and no one there could help. Said I would have to talk to a manager. Was parked in a corner for 20 minutes only to be told there was no manager available. I left my phone number for the manager to call me that afternoon and of course..no call came! I am so upset with our postal system. What more do I need to do?

I have been calling and trying to speak to someone. No answer..I have received the wrong persons mail too many times. Today I received all of A families mail. A massive amount. What is going on??? I don’t receive some of my items often, and it causes problems for me. They picked up stayed silent put it in the hold mode, I have written this, and still holding. Wow! I have pics of erroneously delivered mail.

All government/public servants are obligated by oath to serve the public interest and perform with diligence and integrity. If you are not being served properly, contact the Postal Inspector in writing with details and facts. If the Postal Inspector fails to take prompt and appropriate action to resolve your case, then contact the Office of Inspector General and your elected government officials with Congress and the Senate. You will get attention and action. Note: Attitude and dereliction of duties and behavior that brings discredit upon the government and its institutions are employment termination offenses. Florida is not exempt, regardless of the status quo.

Call for an hour continuously and no answer. Package lost and cannot talk to a person.
Three days now without any delivery. Never gone two days much less three. Advertisement fliers normally on Tuesday or Wednesday and political ads this time of year not delivered normally fill my mail box. Tried calling many times with no answer. Something is wrong.
I was just hung up on from a spanish lady that kept talking over me and not listening to what i was saying. Mailed a pkg. on the 9th and was supposed to be in Plantatiin ti a law office in 2 days. They are telling me it is still going to be in Opa Locka a few more days. I asked to talk to a superviser and she hung up on me. If course when you call back there is no answer. I am beyond pissed. I woild have driven these IMPORTANT papers over myself. There is a deadline on these papers.
I have been dialing the number for the post office all day. There has been no answer. Please explain the situation. 954-732-5557
The service received lately is horrible .Outgoing mail does not get picked up which means no delivery at all.I have mail in my box belonging to other people. But today was the worst. A very important check was brought to me today by a nice lady who lives in a totally different building than I do.Can't these people read/
Just had a check hand delivered by my neighbor. Thank god she was home and thank god she was a good neighbor. No excuse for not putting my mail in my mailbox. I can't stand this anymore. Postmaster General phone wait time: 50 minutes. Same office, 'error' message with email. Plantation post office won't answer the phone. Going over and talking doesn't help. Done it several times over the last year. Don't know what else to do.

Never saw such horrible service anywhere in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horrible service
Mail being forwarded has taken a very long time getting to the forwarded address. When calling the phone rings but disconnects. After 6 tries it finally connected. Hopefully this situation will be resolved as 3 weeks to get forwarded mail is not acceptable.

I had a package that the carrier attempted to deliver on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. I don't know why it wasn't left at my door or the postal box designated for parcels. Instead the carrier left a delivery notice in my mailbox. I immediately filled it out and returned it to my mailbox to be picked up by the carrier the following day. However, two days later it was still there. Out of frustration I put the delivery notice in the outgoing mail slot and waited until Monday, July 11th. It was on that day that I went on-line to submit a re-delivery notice after many attempts to call the post office (the phone goes unanswered). The following Friday, July 15th (9 days after the attempted delivery), I leave work in NMB and head over to the Plantation post office located on 5th Street with my copy of the on-line re-delivery notice and the male attendant refers me to a supervisor (first name Zandra). I explained to the supervisor all the events that led up to me being there. She goes in the back and brings me my package. I then inquire why my package was not re-delivered and she said she would look into the matter. I mentioned if she was aware of the many negative reviews on-line about this specific post office and she said that was the reason she had been brought in from another state. I was SO happy to know that the negative reviews didn't fall on deaf ears. Zandra was extremely courteous and professional.
The fill in postal worker today did not pick up the food packages we had by our mail box. When my father brought it to his attention, he still did not do anything. We ended up taking the packages to the post office ourselves.
Never saw such horrible service anywhere in my life. I hope the government, preferably the FBI (heard rumors), gets involved sooner rather than later because Plantation residents do not deserve this kind of treatment. The Plantation Post Office personnel are a disgrace to public service and to the country they are supposed to represent.
Please answer the phone, please..please..please..
I was leaving for Medical School and decided to rent a PO box. I was told that as long as the fees for the mailbox was paid they would hold my mails and if the mailbox was full they will leave a note in my box and all I had to do was pick them up during opening hours. After the first semester I was able to retrieve all my mails, including those that they were holding because my mailbox was full. Second semester, I came back mid semester and indeed saw the notification that they had some of my mails because the mailbox was full. When I attempted to retrieve my mail I was told that they returned ALL of my mails that could not fit in my mailbox because they do not hold mails for more than 10 days!!! I spoke to the person in charge and I was given a phone number to call. When I called the phone number, some lady that barely spoke English told me 'Ma'am, you are lucky we kept the previous mail', because they return them after 10 days. I told her somehow I did not feel 'LUCKY' because I was paying for the service!! I requested to speak to her manager and I was told 'he was busy' but will return my call. After several attempts I gave up.. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
I am going there tomorrow to get a passport I will let you know how it goes.

As a retired POSTAL worker I have never seen such bad service in this office and phone service all these managers/supervisor instead of brainwash training should go to etiquette training, I am at times embarrassed to say I worked 25 yrs. Thank God I was a carrier and not an office worker.
Horrible service and very rude not educated staff. I believe they forget the fact that due to us customers they have a place to call job. Phone also is nonexistent. Unfortunately I have no choice but to use this every now and then as I live in Plantation. It seems that these people are counting the days for retirement doing their very minimal

On the first day someone actually answered and I left a message for the Postmaster to call me. So far - no return call!!!! Are they understaffed - don't have time to correct the website or respond to calls?

How to Mail a Letter
Do you need to mail a letter?
Once in a while, there are still many reasons to send regular letters even in the fast-paced, tech-world of today. Perhaps you want to send a traditional, hand-written thank you note for a gift, or send condolences manually. Perhaps you want to send some cash inserted into a birthday card. There are many occassions when to mail a letter. The good news is that the process of sending a letter is straightforward and incredibly simple. Sending snail mail so easy that you can focus entirely on what you want to say in the letter contents itself.
To mail a letter in the US, here are the steps to follow:
Select The Correct Envelope
Envelopes matter.
When you send a letter, the envelope needs to be strong. Think of it as the case of your valuable mail. Indeed, finding the correct kind of envelope to mail a letter is important. For example, if the letter you select is made of really light paper, once it's in transit, the contents could breakthrough.
Here are a few things to consider when you go about selecting an envelope to mail a letter:
- The destination of the letter - You will want to use a sturdy envelope when you mail your letter overseas. The reason is that along the way, there is a greater chance it could get damaged.
- The letter's intent - If you are mailing a cover letter select a business-size, professional-looking envelope. You can send personal notes in a decorative, colorful envelope if you want to.
- The envelope size - The size of the envelope needs to be appropriate for the size of the contents within. Letters that you write on a note card can be mailed in a smaller sized envelope. Typically, letters that you write on standard paper 8.5 by 11 inches, you can fold this in three and mail-in business-sized envelopes.
- The paper's weight - The paper's weight needs to match the weight of the envelope. Heavy cards should have sturdier envelopes. If your letter is on regular paper, then regular-envelopes made in a similar weight should suffice. If you include photos, find a sturdier envelope that can handle the enclosed weight.
Seal The Envelope
The moment you have selected an envelope to mail a letter, lick the envelope edges to activate the glue, insert your letter inside it and seal the envelope. You can also use a sponge or moistened fingers with water to get the glue wet. If you think the glue won't hold, use some clear tape.
Write Down The Address
On the middle front of the envelope. write down the address. This should include:
- Name of the recipient
- House number
- Apartment number (optional)
- Street name
- City, State
- Postal code or Zip code
Use the two-letter state code or the nine/eleven digit zip code if you know it. Use printed, clear letters in the upper case. Use dark, easy-to-read ink. If machines can't read your handwriting, post office employees will need to read your writing accurately and quickly.
Write address sections on different lines to make it easier to read. Some people use a post office box as an address instead of a home or business address. If this is what you are doing, write down the post office box number followed by the city/state/country, whichever one applies. Include the country's destination if you are writing an international letter. Write the country name on the bottom of the address in the upper case.
Here is an example of a well-written address if you want to mail a letter to the USA from another country:
Mark Tyler Smith
111 Rose Gold Apartment Homes
Apartment 5
White Plains, NY 10603

The Return Address
On the envelope's top left corner, write your address and name. It is better to write your returning address on the envelope front instead of the back. This makes post handling easier. You can also use labels that have your return address pre-printed. The reason you will need to write down your return address is to make sure that the letter returns to you if, for any reason, it does not reach the intended recipient.
For example, your pre-printed return labels can say:

First Class Stamps
When you mail a standard-size letter that weighs less than 1 ounce and intended to be sent to a U.S. address, the letter's top right corner needs to have a first-class stamp. You can buy any stamp you need at various retail stores, on USPS online or at any post office. Stamps are available with special designs or standard designs. If you want to buy a commemorative or decorative stamp, ask to see their current selection at the post office. Periodically, stamps increase in price. If you have older postage stamps, check USPS dot com to ensure that the stamps you have will still cover the entire first-class postage cost. At times, you will need to use more than a single stamp.

Mailing The Letter
Deposit The Letter Into The Blue Mailbox
In the U.S., there are USPS mailboxes you will see in most suburbs and cities. These are also called mail drop boxes. All you need to do to mail the letter is to make sure the envelope is properly labeled with the recipient's address and your return address. Check to see if you put the correct number of stamps on the envelope. Open the blue mailbox, drop your mailbox into the slot and close the mailbox.
The box will show a time in which the mail person will collect your letter. The mail person picks up the mail daily. If the blue mailbox indicates a time that has already passed, your letter will be picked up the next day, at the time indicated for the daily pickup. Find a blue mailbox near me.
Take The Letter To The Post Office
If you need to purchase stamps, you can leave your envelope with the post office clerk and he or she will do the mailing for it. Even if you don't need postage and your letter is stamped correctly, you can still let the clerk mail it for you. Find the nearest post office to your home by checking online.
Place The Letter Into Your Home Mailbox
If your home has a mailbox, you can put your letter into the mailbox. Move the mailbox flag upwards to alert the mailman that there is mail to be collected.
Extra Stamps
Over-sized or heavy letters that are meant to be mailed internationally will need additional stamps to reach their intended location. All current rates for postage are displaced at the USPS. If you don't have a scale, go and have it weighted at USPS. The assistant will be able to do exact calculations for how much your mail will cost to send. If you have an accurate scale for postage at home, you can measure and weigh your letter to check to see how much the postage will cost. Check the rates for USPS dot com and check to see how much your letter will cost to send. To the top right letter corner, affix the correct postage.
To mail a letter in most countries, postcards and regular mail cost a small fee to get mailed. The postage stamp indicates your payment. You can buy a stamp from the regular post office. The price of stamps vary in various communities. However, sending a domestic letter within the U.S., letters that weight less than one ounce requires one stamp. That is basically the standard rate.
It normally takes two or three days for your letter to arrive not counting weekdays. International mail takes longer to get to the recipient. Letters with no stamps won't get mailed. It will be returned to the return address. One regular stamp should suffice but if your letter is heavier than normal, you will need more stamps. Find out exactly how much your letter will cost to send by checking at the USPS. You can also get online rates and use your own letter scale, if you have one. You can use USA stamps on international mail, as long as you pay the correct fee.

Does it matter what time of day to mail a letter in your personal mailbox?
To be sure your letter gets mailed promptly, put it in your personal mailbox a day early. Position the flag upwards to ensure that the post office carrier will know that there is something in your mailbox that needs to be mailed. Remember that if you forget to put the flag up in your own personal mailbox, the clerk will not collect your mail.

As you can see, it is quite easy to mail a letter in the USA. Stamps don't cost much and if you stay within one ounce, all you need is one stamp. if you send out letters often, it might be a good idea to get your own weighing scale. it might also be a good idea to get more than enough stamps. When you have more than what you need, you will not have to keep running back and force to the post office to buy some more. If all your letters fall below one ounce on the scale, you may not have to buy a scale, as they will all be roughly the same weight.
